Ok, #1 this is amazing of course. That goes without saying. Just juicing for a week feels incredible to me, I'm inspired by this story to try for a whole 45 days! #2, just curious - tea during the 45 days? Sometimes I feel like certain teas help me with detox symptoms and I'm wondering how that played in here. And #3 - the kid talking off camera sounds adorable :)

Hey Cate,
If you feel inspired to do it, you should definitely go for it! Tea is fine, but make sure you go for herbal teas. :)

Andrew went all in and consumed only juices for 45 days. It's up to you what you want to do. Go with whatever approach you feel comfortable with. Juicing daily is the important part :)

Hi, Do not have a juicer, but do have a Vita Mix. Will that work?

We recommend getting a juice machine AND a blender. Blenders are an amazingly versatile tool when it comes to preparing healthy meals and beverages, like smoothies. However, smoothies and juices are not one and the same. Smoothies come with the fiber and juices come without the fiber. Juices get absorbed almost instantaneously, giving you STRAIGHT CELLULAR NUTRITION. A blended fruit/vegetable drink, while great for you,
requires more work for the body to break down the pulp. BLENDERS and JUICERS are excellent kitchen companions, but when we speak of the power of juicing, we mean TRUE JUICE.

* TIP: Prepare a juice using a blender by straining the pulp with a cheesecloth.
Be sure to add enough water to mixture before blending!

Certainly impressive results with juicing! I wanted to comment that when I "blend" a fruit/veggie drink with my Vitamix, there isn't any pulp to strain. The Vitamix completely pulverizes and liquifies the pulp. There is no pulp for the body to break down with the beverages I make.

How do you meet your daily protein and fat requirements while juicing?

Hey Hebbster!

If you are going to do a juice cleanse then your body will be receiving direct cellular nutrition via the juices. This includes protein. Protein is found in many greens! As for fat you will not be getting any because you are going through a cleanse!

However, if you meant in general by just including juice into your diet then we suggest a diverse diet that includes juicing, raw foods, and healthy fats (nuts, avocados, coconut oil) as well as healthy grains (brown rice and quinoa).

We hope this answers your question!
