Detoxifying Green Lemonade

“Every spring I do a cleanse: I reduce my food and drink consumption, simplify my diet by eating and drinking more liquids in order to ease up on my digestion. This allows my intestines to “catch up” from a winter of eating heavier and heartier foods. On a day when I feel like I just need a break, I’ll fix up this green juice. It always puts a bounce in my step!” Chef Hannah Gruber

Total Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:
1 head romaine lettuce
5 stalks celery
5-6 stalks of any type of kale and/or swiss chard
1 large green apple
1 whole lemon or lime, including rind
1-2 tablespoons fresh ginger

Action:
1. Juice ingredients in the order listed in juicer. Divide between 2 glasses.
