Green and Orange Smoothie “LUNCH”

These smoothies make a complete lunch by providing our bodies with high doses on nutrition – meaning we have more energy and an uplifted mood after drinking!. ” Liana

Serves: 1


Green Smoothie:
1 banana, peeled
1 cup fresh spinach
dash of water

Orange Smoothie:
1 banana, peeled
1 cup fresh strawberries
2 carrots
dash of water


1. To make the green smoothie use a powerful blender like the VITAMIX, and add the banana, spinach and water. Blend for a couple minutes until ingredients are mashed together. If you want more liquid in this smoothie add more water.
2. To make the orange smoothie add the banana, strawberries, carrots and water to a high speed blender like the VITAMIX. After a couple minutes you will have a smoothie consistency.
3. They are ready to drink, or place smoothies in jars or container, and put into the fridge or freezer to chill until you drink it!

These can be good ones to make up on a Sunday, and freeze enough for the week ahead. Yes you lose some nutrients freezing, but it’s better than not having smoothies throughout the week if you are living a busy lifestyle.

1. Add any fruits and vegetables your desire to your smoothies! Make up creative blends.
2. To make the smoothies sweeter add some dates, or honey or maple syrup.
3. Add more water or even a nut milk like almond milk to your smoothie to make it smoother.
4. If you are making the smoothie and drinking it on the spot, add some ice to make it cooler.
5. Some will ask “Will this really fill me up?” and you won’t know until you try. Most people are left feeling fulfilled and nourished, so not starving.
