The Earth Diet is all about eating only foods from The Earth, not starving yourself, not depriving your body of anything, in fact I ate chocolate balls everyday for the first few months of my Earth Diet Challenge and still lost weight! Before The Earth Diet I would crave everything sweet all the time, lollies, chocolate, fast foods, and I would give in and eat them to feel sluggish, tired and guilty afterward! I love that I can eat everything and anything including my favourite chocolate recipes like Peanut Butter Pie and Chocolate Balls without any sugar, dairy or harmful chemicals! Mary Mary’s eating pattern has become very close to Earth. Having eliminated artificial additives, dairy, gluten, processed foods, red meat and now only eats organic chicken, fish and pork for quite some time now Mary says the best rewards are “Having power to choose healthy options. Health improvements I've experienced? No longer get headaches, improvement of stomach cramps and loose bowel motions, asthma cleared up, more energetic and good mental health, weight loss. Difficulties? Finding food that meets my quality expectations, pork without preservative is only available from 2 butchers that I know of the closest one 40 mins across town. My thoughts now? You are what you eat. If you are experiencing bad health, I recommend trying The Earth Diet or a gradual elimination diet and getting out into Nature. I started the Earth Diet Challenge The first week in September. I have been wanting to get healthier and knew that some of the foods that I was eating were not making me feel good and contributing to my feelings of lethargy and weight gain. Since I have been on the diet, I bounce out of bed without caffeine! I am much more alert- my brain is more efficient and clear, I am able to feel more joy and happiness in general.
The challenges that I face are the subtle cravings that come on, like right now- I have this feeling of wanting a slice of peperoni pizza. But then I think back on my day and realize that I have not eaten enough proteins and fats today. This is the most amazing thing- when you become aware of what you are eating- you realize you have all of the power to make yourself feel better- without feeling like you need any drugs! Another challenge is eating out at parties or restaurants. I just need to make sure that I eat enough at home so that I am not very hungry. Then when I do go to the party I will pick at the most healthy choice that I can based on what is offered. So far I have lost 10 lbs with 10 more to go! thanks Liana for your inspiration! |

Since Liana launched her Earth Diet last year, i have been totally inspired by her challenge. Her commitment to blogging and sharing her discoveries around health has made me so much more aware of what i put into my body. Its been a life shift really. And although i am not 100% Earth Dieting, i have made significant changes to my diet, reduced the amount of processed foods i eat and increased my raw foods. I feel better for it, if not just physically but mentally as well, knowing i am treating my body with respect and consciousness...what i like is the simple act of eating simply and organically clears the head, and makes a space for something new....it brings forth gratitude as well.

I have known Liana for several years and have watched the amazing change in her since starting her earth diet a year ago. She has inspired me to take more of an interest in my health and pay more attention to the foods I eat, reading her blog has been eye opening.
As a result I have started only eating organic meats & alcohol, using chemical free natural skin care and have greatly reduced the amount of processed food I eat and increased the amount of raw foods I do. Since doing this I have lost 5kg, my skin is glowing and clear and the depression that has been with me all my life has pretty much disappeared. Im also less anxious. I still struggle with food cravings such as cheese, but have learnt to replace that with another food... liana's favourite, the avocado:) I believe that this diet is more than a diet, its a lifestyle which brings you back to basics and helps your body do it's job without constantly having to deal with toxins and chemicals, which makes it more efficiant. |
