Natural Alternatives in Australia: Australia is a country with an array of different climates and landscapes which are full of natural wonders. When travelling in Northern Territory I would recommend the hot springs in Mataranka.
Eco-Accommodation: Again, there are plenty of options for eco-friendly accommodation in each state of Australia. I would recommend visiting Byron Bay for a wide range of health retreats, eco-accommodation and natural alternatives. Restaurants that focus on ingredients naturally provided by the earth: Australia has been making a great effort in providing eco-friendly options when eating/dining. TIPS:
-Shop at fresh food markets rather than supermarkets. Australia has plenty of Fresh food stores everywhere you go, where the produce is fresher and more organic then in your supermarket. In Australia, almost every fruit and vegetable is available all year round, which obviously proves how man-made some of this can be. -Look out for companies using initiative in producing more organic food. For example; Coles supermarket has vowed only to sell no added hormone meat beginning in 2011. -Don't be tempted by fast food. You will never be far from a decent restaurant or cafe when wandering down under. So don't opt for the easy option and pick up something from a take-away chain. |
